Getting there
Elmore State Park is at 856 VT Route 12, Elmore, VT 05657, on the south shore of Lake Elmore under Mount Elmore. Follow VT 12 to the signed park entrance, pay the day-use fee at the contact station, and drive to the main beach lot. From the lot a short flat walk across the lawn leads to the large sandy swim beach and roped designated swim area. The park operates from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through the second Monday in October; day-use hours are 10:00 AM to official sunset. Boat rentals (canoe, kayak, pedal boat, SUP) are available from the park beach house.
