Getting there
The Falls of Lana is a tiered cascade on Sucker Brook where the brook drops out of Silver Lake toward Lake Dunmore, inside the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area in Salisbury. From Brandon, head east on VT 73 about 2.5 miles to Forest Dale, bear left onto VT 53, then continue north about 5.5 miles to the large FREE parking lot on the right (east side of VT 53), roughly 0.2 miles south of the main Branbury State Park entrance. From the lot, follow the old carriage road / Silver Lake Trail uphill; at about 0.3 miles look for the signed short spur on the left with the main viewing area and a flat overlook of the falls. You can continue up to the upper cascades and Silver Lake above. Expect roots, wet ledge, and slick rock around the spur -- stay back from the brink.
