Getting there
Knight Point State Park is at 44 KNIGHT POINT RD, North Hero, VT 05474 on Lake Champlain, at the north end of the US 2 drawbridge between Grand Isle and North Hero (Grand Isle County). IMPORTANT: ignore any stored text referencing Waterbury Center State Park or Reservoir Road -- that's a completely different park. From I-89 Exit 17, take US 2 WEST across the Lake Champlain causeway; the park entrance is immediately on the LEFT after the Knight Point drawbridge onto North Hero. Park at the day-use lot (standard VT State Parks fee). The SANDY SWIM BEACH faces south into the lake's broad narrows with sweeping views. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE SANDY BEACH (pets on leash elsewhere). Water shoes recommended because of zebra-mussel shell fragments and cobble at the shoreline edge. Park open Friday of Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
