Getting there
BRANBURY STATE PARK sits on the east shore of LAKE DUNMORE at 3570 LAKE DUNMORE RD (VT 53), Salisbury, VT 05769 -- this is the Lake Dunmore swim access most guides refer to as 'Branbury Beach.' From US 7 in Leicester / Salisbury, take VT 53 NORTH about 4 miles; the day-use entrance is on the LEFT across the road from the campground. Park in the day-use lot (standard VT State Parks fee, also commonly cited at $5/person seasonally). The 1,000-FT NATURAL SANDY BEACH is wide and gentle -- a favorite for families. A concession stand sells snacks, drinks, and beach toys; flush toilets and coin-operated hot showers on site. A BEACH WHEELCHAIR is available free (first-come / call ahead). PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE SANDY BEACH OR IN THE SWIMMING AREA (pets allowed elsewhere in the park on leash). Open second weekend in May through second Monday in October.
