Getting there
Miles Pond Beach sits on the east side of Miles Pond, a 215-acre lake in Concord in the Northeast Kingdom. Access is off US 2 in Concord; a town beach area and a Vermont Fish and Wildlife public fishing access share the shoreline, with the concrete ramp and trailer lot handling most of the boat traffic. The Town of Concord has an active task force rehabilitating the beach and has talked about a new pavilion, so expect the facilities to evolve year to year. The pond reaches about 55 feet at its deepest and holds bass, perch, pickerel, and bullhead. Arrive early on summer weekends; the lot fills before noon.
