Getting there
Noname Hole is the local nickname for an informal swim pocket on the Batten Kill in Arlington, Bennington County. It is an unsigned, unofficial spot with no developed trail or posted parking; the name is what keeps it off maps. Any informal Batten Kill pull-off follows the same rules: park fully clear of the travel lane, do not cross fences onto private river land, and scout the water before committing. The Batten Kill runs cold and clear most of the summer and reacts fast to upstream storms. For developed Batten Kill swim access, look to public pull-offs along VT 7A between Arlington and Sunderland and to the Green Mountain National Forest corridor.
