Getting there
Pinch Rock is an informal river access on the White River near South Royalton, Windsor County, used as a cool-off stop by locals rather than a developed swim. There is no signed trailhead, no lifeguard, and no official parking. If you are exploring the White River corridor, the better-known stops are the public access at the VT 14 bridge in Sharon, the informal pools near Royalton and Bethel, and the Allis State Park beach on Brookfield Pond up in Brookfield. Treat anything at Pinch Rock as a scout-first visit: park fully off the road, check for posted signage, and walk in only if access reads as public.
