Getting there
Red Rocks Park is South Burlington's 100-acre lakefront park at 4 Central Avenue, with about seven hundred feet of rocky Lake Champlain shoreline, several miles of hiking, jogging, and cross-country ski trails, and a small swim beach tucked below red sandstone cliffs. From I-89 Exit 13, follow I-189 west to US 7, head south a short distance, and turn right onto Queen City Park Road, then follow signs to Red Rocks Park. South Burlington operates the park with a seasonal paid parking fee from mid-June through mid-August and tests swim water quality on Mondays and Wednesdays during the season; check the city's Red Rocks Water Quality page before heading in on a bloom-risk day. Peregrine falcons nest on the cliffs here, so certain cliff-access areas may be closed from mid-March through early August -- respect every posted boundary. Bikes are not allowed on the foot trails.
