Getting there
The Stickney River Corridor Easement is a Vermont River Conservancy easement corridor along a stretch of river in Rockingham, Windham County. The easement preserves foot access to the shoreline for fishing, paddling, quiet swimming, and birdwatching; it is not a developed beach and carries no lifeguard or facilities. Expect a small allowed pull-off, a short bank path along the easement markers, and a river edge with a mix of rocky shallows and deeper pockets. Respect adjacent private land, stay on the easement path, and check for posted notices. The corridor runs cold in the first half of summer and reacts quickly to upstream rain. For a developed Windham County stop, the Scott Covered Bridge area in Townshend and the West River pull-offs south of Jamaica are stronger picks.
