Getting there
The Mill (Minister Brook) is a small brook swim tucked into the Worcester hills off Minister Brook Road, north of Montpelier in Washington County (county stored Unknown and flagged for the taxonomy pass). Local references describe a short run of stacked stone pockets and an old mill stone alongside a shallow brook pool -- not a destination swim, more of a quick dip after a hike through the state forest. Surrounding banks are a mix of public forest and private land, so park in a allowed pull-off, walk the worn path, and respect any posted boundaries. The brook runs clear in settled weather and tea-stained after rain, and the pools stay small even at peak flow. For a developed Washington County swim, the Wrightsville Reservoir day-use in Montpelier and Waterbury Center State Park on the Waterbury Reservoir are the stronger choices.
