Getting there
The Tower is a local name for a swim pocket along the White River in Stockbridge (Windsor County, stored Unknown and flagged), near one of the Stockbridge pull-offs used by White River swimmers and anglers. Like the other White River Stockbridge sites, this is an unofficial river swim with no lifeguard, no facilities, and no formal signage. Expect rocky shallows, a deeper bend pool, and a mix of public access and private frontage. The White River runs cold most of the summer and reacts quickly after upstream rain. Park in a allowed shoulder pull-off along VT 100 or the town road, walk down to the river, scout depth and current, and stay inside the public-access stretch. For a more established White River swim, Peavine Pull-off and Peavine Park in Stockbridge and Gifford Woods State Park pond in Killington are stronger picks.
