Getting there
Ward's Swim Hole -- often listed locally as Ward's Hole or Ward's Access -- is an informal Mad River swim off VT 100 between Warren Falls and the village of Warren. A rocky pool between two short drops forms the main swim, with cobble and gravel shallows along the edges and a deeper center bend. There is no lifeguard and no facilities. The site has real current after upstream rain -- the same stream gage Moretown gauge used for Warren Falls applies here; do not swim when recent rain has raised flow above settled conditions. Park in the allowed pull-off off VT 100, walk the short path down, scout depth, and respect private frontage above and below the pool.
