Getting there
Warren Upper Pools is the stretch of Mad River pools above the main Warren Falls drops in the Green Mountain National Forest at 3919 VT 100 in Warren. From the GMNF lot, a rocky riverside scramble leads upstream past the stacked main pools to a quieter set of upper bends that pick up less traffic on busy days. Conditions, parking, and risk are the same as Warren Falls proper: do not enter after rain in the last twenty-four hours, check the stream gage Moretown gauge, never jump without hand-scouting the pool, and plan for the small GMNF lot to be full on hot summer weekends. There is no lifeguard and no facilities.
