Getting there
this guide is flagged as a duplicate of waterbury-center-state-park-swim-beach and should be consolidated on the canonical swim-beach slug in the taxonomy pass. Both point to the same place: the designated swim area at Waterbury Center State Park on Waterbury Reservoir at 177 Reservoir Road in Waterbury Center, Washington County. The park combines a sandy beach, a grassy lawn for picnics, restrooms, picnic sites, a boat ramp, and canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddleboard rentals that run through Labor Day. FREE beach-wheelchair and beach-mat loans are available to visitors with mobility needs. Standard Vermont State Parks day-use fees apply, hours run from 10 a.m. to official sunset, and the park is open from the Friday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED at Waterbury Center State Park. Check the Vermont FPR Recreational Water Status page before visiting during high summer -- cyanobacteria blooms close the swim area occasionally.
