Getting there
The Waterville Swimming Hole is a local name for a stretch of the North Branch of the Lamoille River in Waterville, Lamoille County, used informally for a village swim. Expect a short bank path from a allowed pull-off, cobble and gravel shallows, and a deeper bend pool along one side. There is no lifeguard and no facilities; banks are a mix of village frontage and private land. The river runs cold and clear most of the summer and silty after rain. Park in legal village space and do not block driveways. For a developed Lamoille-corridor swim, Brewster River pull-offs in Jeffersonville and the Lamoille at Poland Bridge (Cambridge) are stronger picks.
