Getting there
Use downtown Bellows Falls parking and walk to the Bridge Street / Vilas Bridge viewpoints above the Great Falls. The Great River Hydro Visitor Center and fish ladder at 17 Bridge Street (open Fridays and Saturdays, Memorial Day through Labor Day) gives the best formal river view. Full flow over the falls is most visible in late winter and spring before water is diverted into the canal.
