Getting there
Crystal Cascade Falls (also called Cascade Falls) is a 75-84-foot seasonal waterfall on Mount Ascutney's south side in Weathersfield. From I-91 exit 8, drive west on VT 131 about 3.2-4 miles and turn right (north) onto Cascade Falls Road. Follow Cascade Falls Road, bear left at the fork onto High Meadows Road, and continue to the trailhead parking area at the last house. From there, the Weathersfield Trail climbs about 1.2 miles through Mount Ascutney State Park to the base of the falls; Little Cascade Falls, a smaller seasonal feature, sits along the same trail en route. Confirm current trail status with Vermont FPR -- some online listings have flagged the trail as closed during specific management conditions.
