Getting there
Duck Brook Cascades is a ~160-foot cumulative drop in a deep ravine on Duck Brook in Bolton. From US 2 in Bolton, turn onto Stage Road and drive 0.3 miles; the Duck Brook Trailhead is on the right just before the power-line crossing. The marked Duck Brook Trail (part of the old 'Old Long Trail' corridor) follows woods roads under the powerline, then climbs into the woods above the brook. The cascades themselves are OFF-TRAIL -- most visitors drop down into the ravine from the woods-road sections and scout short bushwhack lines to each tier. Do not try to reach the cascades from below in high water. Expect mud, overgrowth near the power-line cut, and no official waterfall signs.
