Getting there
'East Barnet Falls' in the database is more commonly called Barnet Falls or Stevens Falls -- a ~40-foot cascade on the Stevens River in Barnet village (not the hamlet of East Barnet). From I-91, take Exit 18 and follow signs toward US 5; turn left onto US 5 North, drive about 0.5 miles, and turn right onto Mill Hill Road. The falls sit on the Stevens River near the corner of Mill Hill Road. The property at the base of the falls is PRIVATE and the only legal viewing is from the roadside on Mill Hill Rd or from the Route 3 bridge (where the upper portion is clearly visible). A small hydro facility at the crest reduces flow, so the cascade is most photogenic during spring runoff or after heavy rain. Swimming here is not possible or prohibited.
