Getting there
Molly's Falls is the cascade below the Molly's Falls Pond dam on Molly's Brook in Marshfield, downstream of the Green Mountain Power reservoir that forms the new state park. Most of the brook's flow is diverted through the power station, so the falls run thin most of the year and only show themselves in spring or after heavy rain. There is no maintained trail to the falls themselves, and the adjacent hydro corridor is posted off limits. Treat this as a reference page rather than a hike in. For a swim in the same area, use the shoreline swimming allowed at Molly's Falls Pond State Park (not the boat launch). For a developed waterfall with real flow, drive east to Groton State Forest or north to Stowe's Moss Glen Falls.
