Getting there
Morrisville Falls is the cascade stretch of the Lamoille River at the Morrisville hydroelectric dam on the village edge. Flow at the falls depends on upstream releases from the Green River Reservoir and the Morrisville Water and Light system, so on low-release days the bedrock shows and the drop is thin. This is a viewing stop, not a swim. Park in Morrisville village near the dam bridge and take in the view from public right-of-way; stay out of any posted dam corridor or utility area. For swimming in Lamoille County, the new swim-area upgrades at Elmore State Park or the designated beach at Green River Reservoir are the better targets.
