Getting there
North Branch Falls is a short cascade on the North Branch of the Winooski River in Worcester, north of Montpelier. It is not a canonical named waterfall and there is no developed pull-off or signed access. Expect a brief roadside look where the river drops through mossy ledges near a public road; do not cross fences onto adjacent private land. For a developed nearby swim or picnic, the Wrightsville Reservoir day-use area in Montpelier and the Lawson Brook side of Putnam State Forest are the stronger choices.
