Getting there
Saint Mary's Falls is a small tiered cascade on a brook in Clarendon, Rutland County, in the lower Otter Creek corridor south of Rutland. It is and does not carry a canonical entry in the main Vermont waterfall references; the surrounding banks are largely private. Expect a brief roadside look from a allowed shoulder; do not cross fences. The cascade runs best in spring and within a day or two of rain. For developed Rutland County swims, Bomoseen State Park beach on Lake Bomoseen and the Falls of Lana at Silver Lake State Park in Leicester are the stronger choices.
