Getting there
Sloping Falls is a small angled cascade on a brook in the town of Johnson, Lamoille County, north of the Lamoille River corridor. It is and does not carry a canonical entry in the main Vermont waterfall references; the surrounding banks are largely private. Expect a short roadside look from a allowed shoulder and a brief scramble to the brook where public access exists. The cascade runs best in spring and within a day or two of rain. For a developed Johnson-area swim, Beard Recreation Park on the Gihon River in Johnson village and Journey's End Swimming Hole on Foote Brook are the stronger choices.
