Getting there
Sterling Brook Cascade is stored as a Morristown feature but sits on Sterling Brook in the shared Stowe and Morristown drainage that flows through the Sterling Falls Gorge Natural Area. The trail from the end of Sterling Gorge Road passes several stacked cascades and pools before reaching the main gorge; this entry likely describes one of those upper cascades. Treat it as a piece of the Sterling Falls Gorge experience rather than a separate destination, and expect the same cautions: mossy rock, narrow gorge walls, and a moderate trail that drops close to the water. There are no railings everywhere, and local notices flag hazardous conditions along the cliff edges. Access is free. From VT 100 north of Stowe village, turn onto West Hill Road, then follow Sterling Gorge Road to the end. Sterling Brook Cascade is flagged here as a of the sterling-falls and sterling-gorge-falls rows and should be consolidated in the taxonomy pass.
