Getting there
Stevens Mills Falls is a minor drop on a river near the Stevens Mills area in the town of Richford, Franklin County, close to the Canadian border. Like most small mill-village cascades, the flow here runs over remnants of old mill works and private frontage, so the stop is a brief roadside look from a allowed shoulder, not a swim. Do not cross onto private or posted mill land. The drop runs best in spring and within a day or two of rain. For a Franklin County day out, Lake Carmi State Park beach in Enosburg Falls and Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge in Swanton are the stronger choices.
