Getting there
Sutherland Falls and Proctor Falls are the same feature: the dam-controlled Otter Creek drop at the Proctor Hydro Station in the marble town of Proctor, Rutland County. this guide is flagged as a duplicate of proctor-falls for the taxonomy pass; the two slugs should be consolidated. For visitor information, use the proctor-falls entry: roughly fifty feet of exposed schist ledge below the hydro dam, flow tightly controlled by the plant, viewing only -- New England Waterfalls lists swimming as not possible and prohibited due to water quality and plant operations. The falls are visible from the parking area at the end of the short access road off Mill Street near the Vermont Marble Museum.
