Getting there
Thatcher Brook Falls is a small cascade on Thatcher Brook in Waterbury, Washington County, the same brook that flows past the Ben and Jerry's factory on VT 100. It is and does not carry a canonical entry in the main Vermont waterfall references; surrounding banks are a mix of private frontage and village commercial parcels. Expect a brief roadside look from a allowed shoulder or a short approach from village streets, not a designated swim. The brook runs clear in settled weather and silty after rain. For a developed Waterbury swim, the Waterbury Reservoir day-use at Waterbury Center State Park and the Little River corridor in Little River State Park are the stronger choices.
