Getting there
Upper Crossett Brook Falls is a small cascade on the upper stretch of Crossett Brook in Duxbury, Washington County, in the hills between Waterbury and the Mad River Valley. It is and does not carry a canonical entry in the main Vermont waterfall references; surrounding banks are largely private. Expect an informal path from a allowed shoulder, loose footing, and no signage. The cascade runs best in spring and within a day or two of rain. For a developed Washington County swim, the Waterbury Reservoir beach at Waterbury Center State Park and the Little River State Park day-use are the stronger choices.
