Getting there
Waits River Falls is a short drop on the Waits River in Bradford, Orange County, just above the Waits River's confluence with the Connecticut River. The falls sit beside the Bradford village corridor and can be viewed from the river-edge pathways; surrounding banks are a mix of village frontage, a former mill complex, and private land, so treat this as a short viewing stop rather than a designated swim. The river runs clear in settled weather and silty after rain. For a developed Orange County swim, the North Hartland Lake USACE beach and the Union Village Dam recreation area in Thetford are the stronger destinations.
