Warren Falls
Plan your visit to Warren Falls
Planning notes for a roadside Mad River stop: parking behavior, a short uneven approach, cold water, and real hazards at the rock.
Details
Parking
There is no large dedicated lot—only roadside shoulder and informal pull-offs where posting allows. Spaces fill on warm weekends; arrive with patience and a backup plan. Do not block traffic, driveways, or gates.
Driving approach
Drive Vermont Route 100 through the Mad River Valley toward Warren. The Map tab has a pinned point and external driving links; the falls sit along the highway corridor, so expect through traffic, pedestrians, and limited pull-off room.
GPS clarification
Apps may drop a pin that does not match the pull-off you want. Match the map to signage and road safety, not only to a label on a screen.

Seasonal note. Spring snowmelt usually means more water and noise; mid-summer can look gentler at the surface while the water stays cold. Foliage weekends add traffic on VT-100. Winter means ice, short days, and a much riskier scene on rock.
