Getting there
Wells River Falls #3 is the lowest drop in the numbered sequence on the Wells River in the village of Wells River, a village within the town of Newbury, Orange County (stored town flagged). Closest of the three to the Connecticut River confluence; flow here is tight and dam-affected. This is a village viewing stop, not a swim. Park in village on-street or municipal parking along US 5 and walk between the three drops along the corridor. For a real Orange County swim, the Union Village Dam recreation area in Thetford is the canonical destination.
