Getting there
Wheelock Falls is a small cascade on a brook in Wheelock, Caledonia County, in the rolling hills of the Northeast Kingdom. It is and does not carry a canonical entry in the main Vermont waterfall references; surrounding banks are largely private. Expect a brief roadside look from a allowed shoulder and a short scramble where public access exists. The cascade runs best in spring and within a day or two of rain. For a developed Northeast Kingdom stop, Ricker Pond and Stillwater State Parks in Groton State Forest and Lake Willoughby's beaches in Westmore are the stronger choices.
